IF YOUR PET HAS AN EMERGENCY:
DURING NORMAL OFFICE HOURS, CALL CENTRAL PARK VET AT 603-742-1203 CPVC Office Hours are Mon/Wed/Fri 8am-6pm and Tues/Thurs 8am-8pm When in doubt, call us first- we have the emergency clinic numbers on our voicemail as well!
AFTER HOURS/ WEEKENDS/ HOLIDAYS, CALL:
VETERINARY EMERGENCY/CRITICAL CARE CENTER (VECCNH) 603-430-7387
OR
PORT CITY VETERINARY REFERRAL HOSPITAL (PORT CITY) 603-433-0056
Poisons or Toxins
ASPCA Animal Poison Control at (888) 426-4435 (fees apply) or go to their website at https://www.aspca.org/pet-care/animal-poison-control
If your pet is sick and may have ingested something toxic or poisonous, call CPVC or one of the above emergency clinics first. We/they may direct you to call poison control, but speak to a veterinary team member first so they can help you decide if you need to bring your pet in right away. If you bring your pet to us or to an emergency clinic, bring samples or packaging of any products your pet may have ingested (photos or pieces of mushrooms or plants, photos or sample of vomitus if it contains something suspicious, packaging for household products, etc).
If you want to check to see if something ingested is toxic or poisonous, but your pet is not showing symptoms, call the ASPCA Animal Poison Control phone number or go to their website (both listed above)
For some toxins, by the time symptoms appear, the damage may be done. Please call a veterinary clinic or ASPCA animal poison control if you have any suspicion that your pet may have been exposed to something toxic.
